How to bid on items

…in the Silent Auction:

Each item in the silent auction will have a bidder sheet in front of it. To place a bid, write your bidder number and the price you’re bidding either on the first line or the next available line on the bidder sheet. Remember that your bid cannot be lower than the minimum bid listed.

Please note: if you add two or more bids to the same bidder sheet (e.g., if someone placed a bid after yours and you want to bid again with a higher amount), you must write your bidder number and new bid on the next available line. The winning bid will be last one on the page.

…in the Live Auction:

During the live auction, the pieces will be presented on the stage in the order that they appear in the Catalogue/Program. The auctioneer will start the bidding with the minimum bid (as set by the artist or contributor of the piece). He will work up the price in increments, and bidders may raise their bidder numbers to bid on the piece. The last person to raise their bidder number wins the piece.
